Oakland and San Diego both missed out on the last post-season despite finishing in a three-way tie with Denver in the AFC West, underlining the importance of winning divisional match-ups.

The Raiders had the chance to win the division in the final week of the season, but went down to the Chargers 38-26 in a high-scoring encounter at O.co Coliseum. San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers has a new set of weapons in Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal, so with that added firepower, and a healthy Darren McFadden leading Oakland’s rushing corps, expect to see another high-octane encounter with plenty of points .

In the other clash Cincinnati travels to Baltimore to take on arguably the NFL’s most consistent team. The Ravens are the only side to make the playoffs in each of the last four seasons, but they’ll need QB Joe Flacco to step up if they’re going to stop falling short of the Super Bowl.

Rookie Andy Dalton orchestrated the Bengals’ run to the playoffs last season, but it’s worth noting they lost six of their last nine games, and during that stretch Dalton was held to less than 200 passing yards in four consecutive games as defences worked him out.
