Tuesday 7 August, 2012 - A lucky Campbelltown woman is recovering from shock today after receiving a phone call from a NSW Lotteries official advising her of her $1 million Monday Lotto windfall.
The winner said that after many years of putting off her wedding, she could start planning the very special day without any money concerns.
“Are you kidding me?” were the first words the winner uttered after finding out about her $1 million windfall before the shock became too much and she broke down in tears.
“I win small amounts regularly but this is mind-blowing. I once won $900 with a Saturday Lotto QuickPick and couldn’t believe my luck.
“I’ve been trying to plan my wedding, we’ve been putting it off for so long but there is no need to now, I can plan to my heart’s content,” the winner, in her mid-thirties, said.
“We can use the money to pay off the mortgage and the car. Life is going to be a lot easier for us now.
“My partner will think I’m joking when I tell him about this, I can’t quite believe it myself,” the winner added.
Campbelltown’s lucky winner scored the $1 million division one Monday Lotto prize with her regular 18 game entry which cost just $9.85.
The $1 million winning Monday Lotto ticket was sold from Marketfair Newsagency at shop 25A, Campbelltown Marketfair.
The winning numbers in Monday Lotto, draw 3162, were 2, 10, 29, 13, 5 and 45 with the supplementary numbers 18 and 8.
NSW Lotteries officials are still looking for the owner of a ticket that won more than half a million dollars in Saturday Lotto on 28 July. The winning ticket was sold from Brighton-Le-Sands Newsagency.
Tickets are now on sale for this Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw. Don’t miss out on your chance to win a share in $20 million and pick up a ticket from any NSW Lotteries outlet today.
