Wednesday 29 August, 2012 - Someone on the Sunshine Coast started today as a multi-millionaire, but chances are they haven’t popped open the champagne yet, because they’re yet to discover their good fortune!
An Oz Lotto ticket purchased in Noosaville has netted its owner a staggering $13 million in last night’sdraw, but whoever purchased the unregistered ticket has yet to come forward to Golden Casket to claim their prize.
Golden Casket Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said it’s possible the winner is completely unaware that they are carrying the equivalent of $13 million cash around in their wallet or handbag.
“Unfortunately the entry wasn’t registered to a Winners Circle card, so we have no way of contacting the winner to let them know the life changing news,” Ms Knobel said.
“If you purchased an unregistered entry in Oz Lotto draw 967 from newsXpress Noosa Civic in the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre, we suggest you keep your ticket in a safe place and have it checked at a Golden Casket outlet or online at www.goldencasket.com as soon as possible.
“You could be Queensland’s newest multi-millionaire!”
The Sunshine Coast has been a hotspot for lotto wins lately, with this prize coming hot on the heels of a Saturday Gold Lotto fortune.
“This $13 million Oz Lotto win comes just a week and a half after a Gympie family won $2.1 million in Saturday Gold Lotto with a ticket purchased from Noosa Village News in Noosaville,” Ms Knobel said.
“Lotto dreams are coming true in Noosaville!”
The winning Oz Lotto ticket was purchased from newsXpress Noosa Civic, Shop T 1069A in the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre on Eenie Creek Road, Noosaville.
The mystery winner was the only person to share in the $13 million jackpot in Oz Lotto draw 967 on 28 August 2012. The winning numbers were 35, 42, 26, 39, 28, 25 and 12 with supplementaries 18 and 5.
