Australian greyhound racing’s Championship night takes place at Hobart’s Elwick track on Saturday night, with the Sprint and Distance Champions from each state meeting in national finals that are worth $75,000 to the winner. It is the first time that the event has been held in Tasmania for 25 years.
Victorian chaser Fabregas and New South Wales dog Exclusive One dominate betting for the TattsBet National Sprint Championship to be run in Hobart on Saturday night, after the pair recorded impressive wins at their respective State Championships last week. They face tough opposition for the National title however, with group one winners Glen Gallon and Oaks Road also in the lineup.
In the Distance feature, Western Australian star Miata will be strongly fancied to claim the national crown after smashing the 599 metre track record in a trial last week. Irma Bale could be the biggest danger to the favourite, having upset him in the Sandown Cup earlier in the year.
