MotoGP Indianapolis Grand Prix

World champion Casey Stoner  will be out to reduce his deficit in the MotoGP season standings when he lines up in the Indianapolis Grand Prix in the early hours of Monday morning (AEST). Following his win in the US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca three weeks ago, the Australian is 32 points behind runaway championship leader Jorge Lorenzo  with eight races left in 2012. Stoner recorded his first victory at the ‘Brickyard’ last season and clearly has a liking for the tight circuit, while Lorenzo admits that it’s not of his favourite venues.

Stoner and Lorenzo have won nine of this season’s ten races between them, with the only other rider to have tasted success in 2012 being the consistent Dani Pedrosa .
