Tuesday 14 August 2012 - Fairfield’s mystery Saturday Lotto Superdraw winner has come forward to claim her $1.06 million prize and revealed that the win is being split between three friends.
The lucky trio scored a $1,052,631.58 share of the division one prize pool in Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw along with additional divisional prize amounting to $13,748.55.
The syndicate leader, a Fairfield woman, visited NSW Lotteries head office earlier today to lodge the prize claim.
“I checked the ticket yesterday at a newsagency and came straight to NSW Lotteries this morning to claim the prize. I haven’t slept all night, I’m a bit tired now,” the winner laughed.
The syndicate leader said that her portion of the winnings would take a lot of financial worry off her shoulders.
“I will use my share to pay off the mortgage and then go overseas to visit family. I’ll also donate some money to charity,” the winner said.
The syndicate leader also shared what it was like to tell her two friends they had won a division one prize.
“The other syndicate members were shaking and crying when I told them we had won. We are just all so excited to have a big win.”
Throughout Australia 19 winners shared the $20 million division one prize pool in Saturday Lotto’s Superdraw, this included four lucky NSW winners who purchased their Superdraw tickets from the Sydney suburbs of Balmain, Fairfield, Lalor Park and the Illawarra’s Albion Park.
