Gold Lotto win sends Brisbane woman's blood pressure through the roof!

Monday 13 August, 2012 - A Brisbane woman woke up on Sunday to the news that she was a millionaire after winning a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw!

The woman said she was so shocked when she heard about the win that she felt her heart beating faster.

“I was notified to say that I’d won something in the Superdraw and I thought to myself, wouldn’t $10,000 be nice, or even $1,000,” she said.

“When I found out I’d won just over $1 million my blood pressure went through the roof!”

Once her nerves settle, the winner said she’ll think about how to use the money very carefully.

“It won’t be frivolously spent,” she said.

“I’ll buy a new place to live then plan for my retirement. Now I can be semi-retired a lot sooner.”

The winning entry was purchased from Golden Casket online at, right before the draw closed.

“I didn’t get a chance to buy an entry at a Golden Casket outlet so I jumped online to buy a QuickPick the hour before the draw on Saturday night.

“Good timing I’d say!”
