Mystery Caringbah winner claims $1 million Monday Lotto prize

Thursday 5 July, 2012 - The mystery of the Caringbah Monday Lotto winner has been solved - a woman from Sydney’s southern suburbs came forward this morning in possession of the $1 million division one winning ticket.

The winner was completely unaware of her good fortune until this morning and the shock of winning $1 million left her speechless.

“I checked the ticket this morning and the newsagent told me I had won a big prize so I came straight home and called NSW Lotteries,” the winner said.

“When I heard that I had won $1 million it just felt surreal, I can’t believe it."

The lucky winner said that she would use her life-changing win to buy a bigger home.

"I’ll use the money to buy somewhere bigger and I’ll definitely get something nice for myself".

“This is life-changing, it really is hard to get my head around what is happening,” the winner added."

Monday Lotto’s $1 million winner scored her $1 million division one prize with her regular purchase of an 18 game Super QuickPick which cost just $9.85.

The winning ticket was purchased from Caringbah Village Newsagency at Shop 6, 55 President Avenue, Caringbah.

Caringbah’s lucky millionaire is the seventh new Lotto millionaire in NSW this week. Six NSW Lotto players each won $1.25 million in the Saturday Lotto $30 million mid-year Megadraw. NSW Lotteries is still looking for a winner from Hammondville who has yet to claim their $1.25 million prize from Saturday’s Lotto draw.

The winning numbers in Monday Lotto, draw 3152, were 32, 28, 20, 35, 12 and 21 with the supplementary numbers 42 and 38.
