Six time champion Roger Federer will face Russian Mikhail Youzhny in the Wimbledon quarter-finals tonight as he continues his quest to add another title to his bulging trophy cabinet. Despite boasting the best record in history at the All England Club, the Swiss ace has failed to reach the final four in the past two years. Federer has a 13-0 career advantage over the world number 33 and will be confident of advancing to the penultimate stage of the tournament, but will be hoping that the back injury that hindered him during his four set win over Xavier Malisse in his last match doesn’t flare up again.
The second game on Centre Court sees British hope Andy Murray taking on David Ferrer in a replay of the French Open quarter-final between the pair which the Spaniard won in four sets. Novak Djokovic can set up a mouth-watering clash with Federer by overcoming Florian Mayer , while Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Philipp Kohlschreiber do battle in the final last eight fixture.
