Monday 30 July, 2012 - Our Aussie Olympians weren’t the only ones who won big over the weekend. A mystery player who purchased an unregistered ticket in Brighton-Le-Sands has won big scoring $508,773.54 however the winner is yet to come forward to claim their prize.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson, Una O’Neill said that the winner is more than likely unaware of their good fortune.
“As this particular winning ticket is unregistered, NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner, it is a matter of sitting tight and hoping they check their ticket soon,” Ms O’Neill said.
“It is more than likely the winner is not aware of their good fortune, so to encourage the winner to come forward, we are asking anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Brighton-Le-Sands Newsagency to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“Someone out there is holding onto a ticket that is now worth more than half a million dollars,” Ms O’Neill added.
The $508,773.54 winning ticket was sold from Brighton-Le-Sands Newsagency at 273 Bay Street, Brighton-Le-Sands.
Eight winners shared Saturday Lotto’s $4 million division one prize pool, along with the winning ticket sold in Brighton-Le-Sands, three winning tickets were sold in Western Australia and two each in South Australian and Victoria.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto, draw 3237, were 42, 1, 37, 33, 27 and 28 with the supplementary numbers 29 and 17.
