Australia’s World Championship winning Men’s 4 x 100m Freestyle relay team  heads the nation’s medal chances on day two in London, where there are fourteen gold medals on offer. At last year’s World Championships in Shanghai, James Magnussen, Matthew Targett, Matthew Abood and Eamon Sullivan powered to victory ahead of France and the USA. In Magnussen and James Roberts – who has been added to the team since 2011 - Australia’s relay team boasts the two fastest men in the world this year and will be strongly fancied to capture the gold medal.

Five time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Alicia Coutts  will be going for gold in the Women’s 100m butterfly after collecting a silver medal in Shanghai last year. The twenty four year old has a packed schedule in London and will also be competing in the 4 x 100m Freestyle relay, 4 x100m Medley Relay and 200m Individual Medley.
