Racing Preview 28th July

Bletchingly Stakes (MR6) **TattsBet $106,584 Trifecta Jackpot** - Zamorar looks like a horse on the rise and has a good chance of recording his maiden black type win in this contest. Fourth in the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes behind Sepoy at the end of his first campaign, he ran home strongly from a poor draw last time out and should be able to race closer to the speed from gate three. Green Birdie ran well at his first start in Australia since 2006 and is well suited by the WFA conditions of this race. Eagle Falls is the other galloper to have won at the top level and is of interest here. He won a group three race on his reappearance during his last preparation and is also a group one winner over course and distance. He is well in and is drawn well. Ready To Rip and Dusty Star are others to include.
Selections: Zamorar, Eagle Falls, Green Birdie, Dusty Star

**TattsBet $250,000 Doomben (BR) Quadrella Jackpot (BR6, BR7, BR8 & BR9)**

Mares Class 6 Handicap (BR6) – Mossriver looks to be the one to beat here, having raced consistently well during this preparation. She has good form at the track, is racing over her pet distance and goes on any surface. Norocos and Catashee warrant respect, while Zamboni and My Bellydancer are both in form, having won their past two starts.
Selections: Mossriver, Zamboni, Norocos, Catashee

NMW Handicap (BR7) – These races are always hard to assess, but Beggin is one galloper whose form stands up well for this contest. She has won two of her past three starts and is obviously racing well. Miss Orielle was a good winner first up and could be the main danger, while Tacker and Kalbo are others to consider.
Selections: Beggin, Miss Orielle, Tacker, Kalbo

Open Handicap (BR8) – Signified has built an imposing career record with seven wins from fifteen starts and can add to that tally here. Well drawn and with in-form hoop Chris Munce aboard, he can win again. Brigadoon Jack deserves another chance after labouring on the heavy track last time out, while Bold Glance and River Lad can put disappointing runs last time out behind them.
Selections: Signified, Brigadoon Jack, Bold Glance, River Lad

Class 6 Handicap (BR9) – Requested looks well placed in this race after the 3kg claim for apprentice jockey Kirk Matheson and is drawn to get a good run. He will appreciate returning to a firmer racing surface. Taken is better than he showed at the Sunshine Coast at the start of July and should run well, while Shafeeq and Golden Cash can build on good runs last time out.
Selections: Requested, Taken, Golden Cash, Shafeeq
