Last week’s heartbreaking after the siren loss to the Suns leaves Richmond’s  chances of playing finals football hanging by a thread, and they must beat the Kangaroos  to have any realistic chance of finishing in the top eight. That won’t be an easy task however, with North Melbourne one of the form teams in the competition after defeating Adelaide, St Kilda and Carlton in the past month.

Young star Dustin Martin and Daniel Jackson both return from two match bans for the Tigers, who also get Ivan Maric back after the ruckman was a late withdrawal from the match against the Gold Coast last weekend. North are without Jack Ziebell, who was slapped with a four week ban during the week for his high contact on Carlton’s Aaron Joseph in the last round.

Where It Will be Won – Trent Cotchin  is having the best season of his brief career in 2012 and has consistently shown that he can match it with some of the best players in the competition, but may have his hands full against the Kangaroos strong running midfielders. The likes of Liam Anthony  and Andrew Swallow  have taken their game to another level in recent weeks and the Tigers will have their hands full limiting the damage that they cause.

Prediction – Although the Tigers will be desperate to banish the memories of last week’s defeat as quickly as possible, they will have a tough task given the form that North Melbourne are in at the moment. North Melbourne 40+
