The Melbourne Vixens will be bidding for a second ANZ Championship netball premiership in four years when they face Waikato Bay Of Plenty Magic at Hisense Arena on Sunday. The Vixens finished on the top of the table at the end of the regular season with ten wins from their thirteen matches and won through to the decider with a 56-50 come from behind win against the Northern Mystics in the preliminary final.
Waikato finished third on the ladder at the end of the regular season but comes into this match on the back of a winning streak that has seen them win each of their past eleven matches. Ironically their last win was against the Vixens, when they went down 40-39 at this venue in round four. They beat the Northern Mystics in overtime on Monday to qualify for the decider.
