Far North Coast man comes forward to claim $1 million Wednesday Lotto prize

Thursday 12 July, 2012 - A NSW far North Coast single man came forward as the mystery owner of the $1 million Wednesday Lotto prize sold from Alstonville Newsagency this afternoon.

The lucky winner was completely unaware of his good fortune until contacting NSW Lotteries following having the ticket checked at a newsagency and being told he had won a major prize.

The winner said the news was absolutely shocking!

“I checked the ticket at a newsagent this afternoon and they told me to contact NSW Lotteries. I had no idea that I had won the division one prize,” the flabbergasted winner said.

“I’m in absolute shock, my heart is pumping and I feel really jittery,” the winner added.

Lotto’s latest millionaire was in no doubt that retirement is on the cards thanks to his Lotto windfall.

“I’ll retire on my winnings, pay off the mortgage and enjoy living comfortably,” the delighted winner said.

Alstonville’s $1 million winning Wednesday Lotto ticket was sold from Alstonville Newsagency at Shop 2, 79- 83 Main Street, Alstonville.

The winner scored the $1 million division one prize along with additional prizes amounting to $4,388.10 with a systems seven ticket which cost him just $7.70.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3155, were 20, 44, 15, 4, 6 and 41 with the supplementary numbers 38 and 30.
