Tuesday 5 June, 2012 - One lucky Wollongong Monday Lotto player has a good reason to celebrate today after picking up a $666,666.67 share in last night’s $2 million division one prize.
The winner, a registered NSW Lotteries Players Club member, will be contacted by NSW Lotteries regarding their windfall.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson, Una O’Neill, said one of the benefits of being a Players Club member is knowing that you will be contacted directly with news of a division one win.
“We directly contact all Players Club members who win division one prizes and break the good news to them,” Ms O’Neill said.
“Winning a large amount of money can be nerve-wreaking for most people, registering your lottery purchases with Players Club means you have the peace of mind that comes with knowing only you can claim a prize won on a ticket registered to your membership,” Ms O’Neill added.
The $666,666.67 Monday Lotto winning ticket was sold from Keira Street Newsagency at 175 Keira Street, Wollongong.
Monday Lotto’s $2 million division one prize pool was shared by three winners; one winning ticket was purchased in NSW, one in Victoria and one in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3144, were 4, 12, 2, 24, 17 and 35. With the supplementary numbers 5 and 36.
