Work syndicate wins Lotto after 15 years with the same numbers!

Tuesday 26 June, 2012 - A group of seven Brisbane office workers struck it rich over the weekend when their syndicate won a first division prize of $707,692.23 in Saturday Gold Lotto!

In addition to the division one prize, the syndicate also won in the third division, making the total prize worth $713,993.43, or around $102,000.00 each.

The Brisbane woman who purchased the ticket on the group’s behalf said they’d been waiting for a big win for a long time.

“We’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto as a group with the same combination of numbers since 1997, but have never won more than $20 each with an entry!,” she exclaimed.

“It’s amazing we’ve all won more than $100,000!"

“The group used to be much larger, and only a few of the original players remain in it – I suppose it’s lucky for the rest of us as we’ve won more than we might have otherwise!”

The winner said she doesn’t have big plans for celebrating as the news hasn’t sunk in yet.

“I think I’ll just sit down and have a cup of coffee now!"

“Then I’ll have to tell the former players in the syndicate that they missed out – I’m sure they’ll be a bit jealous.”

The winning entry was purchased from Terrace News in Morris Towers on Wickham Terrace in Brisbane.

There were six division one winners nationally in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3227 on 23 June 2012, with three in Queensland, two in Victoria and one in Tasmania.

The winning numbers were 29, 2, 31, 19, 30 and 16 with supplementary numbers 11 and 10. There were also 88 division two winners who took home $6,548.00 each.
