Seymour Grandfather wins over $700,000 in TattsLotto!

Tuesday 26 June, 2012 - A Grandfather in Seymour is in shock after discovering he’d won a first division prize of $707,692.23 in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw!

The man in his 80s recalls playing TattsLotto for 40 years, since the first draws began in June 1972.

The happy winner said he hasn’t got any firms plans for how to spend the windfall just yet.

“This is excellent, thank you so much!” he exclaimed when speaking with a Tatts representative.

“I’ve promised my wife I won’t make any decisions about how to use the money until it’s been sitting in the bank a while."

“I imagine we’ll spend the prize on housing and things for our grandchildren.”

As for how he’ll celebrate the news personally?

“Very quietly,” he said.

“We’ll enjoy the win privately, it’s really come at a great time.”

The winning entry was purchased from Seymour South Post & Lotto on Anzac Avenue in Seymour.

There were six division one winners nationally in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3227 on 23 June 2012, with two in Victoria, three in Queensland and one in Tasmania.

The winning numbers were 29, 2, 31, 19, 30 and 16 with supplementary numbers 11 and 10. There were also 88 division two winners who took home $6,548.00 each.
