Campbellfield Grandfather will spoil grandkids with TattsLotto win

Tuesday 26 June, 2012 - A Campbellfield family is reeling after they discovered they had won a first division prize of $707,692.23 in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw!

In addition to the division one prize, the winner also won in the third and fourth divisions, making the winner’s total prize worth $720,754.38.

The Grandfather who purchased the ticket remembers purchasing an entry in the first ever TattsLotto draw 40 years ago this month in 1972.

He has been playing with a combination of numbers made up of family birthdays for many years, changing them only to include the birth dates of new grandchildren.

The winner said he has a few plans in mind for how to spend the windfall.

“I’m nearing retirement age so this money has come at a perfect time,” he said.

“I was planning to buy a new car, and I suppose now I can afford a better one!"

“I’ll also be able to do some work on the house and spoil the grandkids, of course.”

The winning entry was purchased from Campbellfield Lucky Lotto, Shop 7 in Campbellfield Plaza, Victoria.

There were six division one winners nationally in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3227 on 23 June 2012, with two in Victoria, three in Queensland and one in Tasmania.

The winning numbers were 29, 2, 31, 19, 30 and 16 with supplementary numbers 11 and 10. There were also 88 division two winners who took home $6,548.00 each.
