The Broncos  welcome back origin stars Sam Thaiday, Justin Hodges and Petero Civoniceva for their round thirteen encounter against the Knights . Both teams have experienced their fair share of dramas in recent weeks and will be looking for form reversals. After back-to-back losses it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Broncos lately as they try to navigate the tricky origin calendar. Newcastle are in turmoil with former great Andrew Johns labelling their brand of football boring and unenthusiastic.

History – Suncorp Stadium been cruel to Wayne Bennet since the former Broncos coach left Brisbane, Bennet has won only one from five since leaving the Broncos in 2008. The Broncos have been impressive against the Knights in recent seasons winning seven of their past ten games. Newcastle has recorded just two wins from their past eight games away from home.

Dangermen – Broncos centre Jack Reed  is beginning to work his way into the 2012 season after an impressive debut season last year. Reed has scored in the Broncos past three games and always tests the defence on the left edge. Knights winger James McManus  is as honest as they come and has been one of Newcastle’s best this season.

Prediction – Expect the Broncos to come out firing in front of a massive home crowd. A full strength Brisbane side should be far too strong for the struggling Knights. Broncos 1-12 .
