The Wests Tigers will be playing for eight straight wins when they take on the Roosters at Leichardt Oval on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have rocketed up the premiership ladder into joint third position after defeating Melbourne last week. The Roosters are a different story however and will be hoping to buck a four game losing streak. Robbie Farah is expected to back up from representative duty for the Tigers while Boyd Cordner has been included in the Roosters starting side shifting Mitchell Aubusson to the bench.
– Despite failing to fire this season the Roosters boast an impressive record against the Tigers recording four wins from their past five games. The Tigers sealed a late victory at Leichardt last season thanks to a dominant display by the in-form Benji Marshall. The Tigers seem to rise to the occasion at their spiritual home of Leichardt Oval and have recorded ten wins from their past eleven games.
– Tigers Winger Beau Ryan has been a huge strength for the tigers this season, Ryan leads the Tigers try scoring list with seven tries and is sure to test the Roosters defence out wide. Roosters fullback Anthony Minichello is one of the competitions most consistent performers and is always a positive attacking option for the Roosters.
– The Tigers are on a roll and the Roosters are struggling. It’s hard to see the Tigers getting beaten in front of a massive home crowd. Tigers 13+ .
