Fresh from a bye a rejuvenated Penrith Panthers  side will hope to record their first back-back win of 2012 when they lock horns with the Warriors  on Monday night. Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has drawn a line in the sand with his players in recent weeks and it seems to have worked after the third last Panthers defeated last year’s reining premiers Manly in convincing fashion two weeks ago. The Warriors have also battled constancy this season and are a glimmer of the side that reached last year’s grand final. A major boost to the Warriors will be the return of exciting fullback Kevin Lock who is sure to add plenty of spark to their attack.

History – History tells us that these two teams are very evenly split over the years. The Warriors have enjoyed recent success however recording three straight wins over their rivals. The Warriors don’t mind the trip to the foot of the mountains and have won their past two games on Penrith’s home soil.

Dangermen – Warriors fullback Lachlan Coote  has been in great form this season. The pintsized fullback is beginning to offer Ivan Cleary more attacking options out wide in combination with Luke Walsh and Travis Burns . The Warriors will be glad to have Kevin Locke  back, the lively fullback provides a much needed boost to their broken field play.

Prediction – Three weeks ago this game would have been a simple assignment to tip with the Warriors wiping the floor with Penrith. The Panthers have found a much needed spring in their step and should prove extremely tough to beat at home. Panthers 1-12 .
