Chelsea  will be out to reinforce their recent dominance in the FA Cup when the face Liverpool  in the Final on Sunday morning, looking to lift the trophy for the third time in four seasons. The Blues defeated Portsmouth in the 2009/10 final 1-0 after recording a 2-1 victory over Everton twelve months earlier. They secured their place in this year’s finale with a 5-1  drubbing of Tottenham in the semi-finals.

Defenders David Luiz and Gary Cahill have both been suffering with hamstring injuries, but Chelsea are hopeful that they will be available for the match. Spanish hitman Fernando Torres  is likely to play a key role for the Londoners in the Wembley showpiece after finally rediscovering his form with a hat trick against QPR last weekend.

Liverpool goes into the Final on the back of some poor form, having suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat in the league to Fulham during the week. Top scorer Luis Suarez  and skipper Steven Gerrard  were both given the night off and will return for the Reds, who are languishing in eighth position on the Premier League ladder.

They last lifted the trophy with a shootout win over West Ham in 2006 after the game ended in a draw  at the end of regular time and then extra time. They won through to the decider with a 2-1  over fierce rivals Everton on April 14.
