Adelaide United  host Nagoya Campus  in the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League on Tuesday night after finishing the group stage at the top of Group E. The Reds collected four wins and a draw  from their round robin matches to advance to the knockout stage of the competition. Defender Jon McKain and midfielder Iain Ramsay have been battling injury but are expected to lineup for Adelaide in this sudden-death encounter.

Nagoya Campus, who were pooled in the same group as the Central Coast Mariners, remained unbeaten in the group stage, winning two and drawing four of their earlier matches. Socceroo striker Josh Kennedy is sure to be a big threat for the Japanese club after coming through his sides J-League match on the weekend to prove his fitness after being sidelined with a back problem.

Although these clubs have net met before, United defeated fellow Japanese side Gamba Osaka twice in as many meetings during the group stage, while Nagoya Campus collected a win and a draw from its two games against A-League side Central Coast.
