Sydney three year olds Sea Siren and Pampelonne will be hard to beat in Saturday’s Group One Doomben 10000 after drawing well for the $650,000 event. Last start BTC Cup winner Sea Siren will jump from barrier seven in the sixteen horse field, while Pampelonne- an easy winner of the Scone Guineas last weekend - fared even better at the draw, getting gate three.
Local star Buffering is considered the best chance of the older horses despite missing the BTC Cup through injury and will be joined in the field by his ever popular stablemate Woorim . Scenic Blast and Beaded filled the minor placings in that race and will again be hopeful of a big showing.
