Adelaide United can confirm their passage to the next stage of the AFC Champions League with a win over Bunyodkor at Hindmarsh Stadium on Wednesday night. John Kosmina’s side, who finished second last in the A-League, have won three of the opening four matches in the competition, including a 2-1 win over Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan in the opening game of the tournament.
Key men Dario Vidosic and Sergio van Dijk are set to return for the Reds after missing the sides 1-0 win over the Pohang Steelers a fortnight ago.
In Group F, A-League champions Brisbane Roar will have new coach Rado Vidosic at the helm for the first time when they travel to Japan to face FC Tokyo . Anything less than a win for Brisbane would see them eliminated from the competition after they failed to win any of their opening four matches in the campaign. When these sides met at Suncorp Stadium in gameweek one, Tokyo won 2-0.
