Darren Lockyer may have retired, but Queensland  will be hoping that it is business as usual in this year’s State of Origin series as the Maroons bid for an unprecedented seventh consecutive series win over New South Wales . The likes of Cameron Smith, Jonathan Thurston and Billy Slater will again be an integral part of the record breaking Queensland side that will be bidding to build on last season’s 2-1 series success.

Blues coach Ricky Stuart will rely on inspirational skipper Paul Gallen to lead the way for his side, which contains several new faces. Controversial Sharks recruit Todd Carney and Cowboys enforcer James Tamou are amongst those drafted in to the New South Wales squad as they attempt to end the most dominant reign in State of Origin history.
