St Kilda  and Carlton  meet at the MCG in a rare Monday night game at the MCG, with the Blues looking to move to equal top spot on the ladder with a win. Their superstar midfielder Chris Judd and Jarrad Waite return after missing last week’s win over GWS, but the Saints will be without influential defender Sam Fisher, who suffered a hamstring injury in his sides 123-88 defeat to Hawthorn last weekend.

Where It Will be Won – Carlton’s much vaunted midfield failed to fire against the Giants last week without Chris Judd, but with the dual Brownlow medallist can be expected to be more competitive around the stoppages. Lenny Hayes and Nick Del Santo have proven that they can match it with the best in the competition but have been inconsistent in 2012. They will have to be at their best to keep pace with Judd and Marc Murphy.

Prediction – These teams met twice last season for a win apiece, with the Saints victorious in round 24 by 20 points. Carlton is going much better at the moment however and should be able to reaffirm their status as one of the premiership favourites. Carlton 40+
