Tuesday 1 May, 2012 - A Wodonga woman is in shock after discovering today she’s the mystery winner of a TattsLotto division one prize worth $469,462.57, more than two weeks after draw 3207 took place on 14 April.
The surprised customer said she had seen the local news reports encouraging the unknown winner to check their ticket, but she never believed the stories were about her.
“I just thought it was silly of the person to not have had their ticket checked by now!” she exclaimed.
“I don’t check my tickets every week so I only found out I’d won a first division prize when I went to buy an entry for tonight’s $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot.
“I hope my luck continues!”
The hard-working winner had been playing lotto with her regular numbers for some time, and they finally did the trick.
“The numbers I play are a mix of my favourite player numbers from the Bombers football team. I picked them years ago and I’m glad I stuck to them!”
The winning ticket was purchased from Birallee Lotto at the Birallee Shopping Centre in Wodonga. Tatts Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said it was a timely reminder for players to ensure their tickets are registered to a Tatts card ahead of tonight’s mind blowing $50 million Oz Lotto prize draw.
“If you’ve registered your entry for tonight’s Oz Lotto draw Tatts will be able to contact you first thing tomorrow to tell you the amazing news!”
The Wodonga woman was one of nine division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3207 on Saturday 14 April 2012. There were four division one winners in Victoria, and one each in Queensland, Western Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales and South Australia. The winning numbers were 18, 25, 43, 13, 8 and 7 with supplementary numbers 17 and 4.
