Defending premiers Manly  return to Brookvale for the first time in 227 days in desperate need of a win after losing three consecutive matches. Captain Jamie Lyon boosts their cause after being a late withdrawal before last week’s 29-20 loss to Parramatta.

The Panthers  have won two of their opening five matches and have named the same squad that went down 15-14 to the Sharks in round five.

History – Manly have won 27 of 36 meetings between these sides at Brookvale Oval, including a 22-16 win in round seven here last season. That was the first leg of a double against Penrith last year with the Sea Eagles also winning 12-8 away from home later in the year.

Dangermen – Representative fullback Brett Stewart  is yet to show his best form this season, but often saves his best for Brookvale. He is a gun player and it is surely only a matter of time till he puts an opposition side to the sword.

Former NSW centre Michael Jennings  has made an outstanding start to the 2012 season with five tries in as many matches and will wreak havoc down the left side if he isn’t kept in check.

Prediction – Despite boasting two wins from as many away matches in 2012, the Panthers will struggle against Manly, who will be buoyed by the return to Brookvale. Manly 13+
