Melbourne  takes the only unbeaten record in the competition to Townsville on Sunday night where they will face the dangerous Cowboys , who were excellent against the Raiders in Canberra last week. While the hosts will field an unchanged squad for the match, Melbourne will be without Sika Manu and Anthony Quinn, who are missing through injury and suspension respectively.

History – The Storm have had the wood over North Queensland, winning 17 of the 23 meetings between the sides. They have won 9 of 14 at Dairy Farmers and eight of the past nine between the sides. The Cowboys won the corresponding match 34-6 last season however.

Dangermen – Cowboys skipper Jonathan Thurston  had his best game of the year last week and appears to be starting to find his best form after making a slow start to the season. A regular tryscorer in recent seasons, he is yet to score a four pointer in this campaign.

How can you look past Australian custodian Billy Slater  for the Storm? He has nine tries in five matches this season and is in career best form.

Prediction – Both of these sides are very good at their best, but it’s Melbourne that are at their peak right now. The Cowboys will put up a good fight, but will fall just short. Melbourne 1-12
