Blue Diamond winner Samaready  remains at the top of the market for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper after drawing barrier 11 at Tuesday’s barrier draw. Mick Price’s filly, the winner of four races from as many starts, Samaready proved herself the Sydney way of going with an effortless 2 length win in the Reisling Stakes at Rosehill a fortnight ago.

Gai Waterhouse has won the Slipper on three occasions and will field five runners in the race this year, with her team headed by Todman Stakes winner Pierro  and Blue Diamond runner-up No Looking Back , while Magic Millions winner Driefontein  is also part of her team. Peter Snowden won the race with Sepoy last year and will be represented by Epaulette  and Narcissus  this time around.
