Australian Clubs Continue Asian Campaign

Adelaide United  will be out to maintain their perfect record in the AFC Champions League when they face Korean club Pohang Steelers  on Tuesday night. Despite finishing second last on the A-League ladder, the Reds have excelled in the Champions League this season with two wins from as many matches. In their last match, Adelaide recorded a 2-0  win over Japanese side Gamba Osaka.

The Pohang Steelers won their opening fixture 3-0  away to Gamba, before suffering a 2-0 defeat to Bunyodkor on March 20. These clubs have met in the group stages of this competition four times, with Adelaide winning three times and the most recent clash, in April 2010, ending in a 0-0  draw.

Still fighting for the A-League title, the Central Coast Mariners  host Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma  in Group G of the competition. Both of their fixtures during this campaign have ended in a draw .
