Thursday 26 April - Admitting to spending a long time dreaming of receiving a call from NSW Lotteries to advise her of a Lotto win, a Dapto woman was left speechless this morning when her dream finally came true.
NSW Lotteries called the woman early this morning to advise her of a $1 million division one Wednesday Lotto win.
The winner became emotional as the reality of her win started to sink in, at first she could only say that the news of her $1 million win couldn’t have come at a better time.
“You’re kidding me, oh my God, are you for real? This couldn’t come at a better time, we have had so much bad luck lately, you have no idea. This will help a lot of people,” the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, cried.
“I just can’t believe it. Just recently I said to my husband that we must be in line to win Lotto seeing as we have been playing it since it started,” the delighted winner laughed.
The winner, who is in her fifties, said that she will take a long-overdue holiday to a destination she has wanted to see for many years.
“The first thing I’ll do is pay off the mortgage and you know what we’re going to have a holiday. I’m going to bring my friend to Canada and Alaska, we have been talking about going for more than ten years,” the winner added.
Dapto’s newest millionaire won the division one prize in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw with a 36 game Megapick ticket purchased from Farmborough Road Newsagency at Unanderra.
The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3133 were 40, 45, 34, 6, 37 and 27. The supplementary numbers were 10 and 23.
