The NBL grand final series returns to Vector Arena on Tuesday, where the New Zealand Breakers can secure back-to-back NBL titles with a win over the Perth Wildcats . The Auckland based side took a 1-0 series lead with their 104-98 win in the opening game of the three match playoff series, before going down 87-86 in a thriller in Perth on Friday night.
Cedric Jackson and Tom Abercrombie are both expected to take their place for the Breakers despite suffering from ankle injuries, while Damian Martin will be given up until the last minute to prove his fitness for the Wildcats. The Australian representative tore his ankle ligaments in the second game of the series but is expected to take his place in the do-or-die clash with the aid of pain-killing injections.
