No more renting for Warrnambool family after TattsLotto win!

Wednesday 18 April, 2012 - A Warrnambool family will finally be able to buy a home of their own, after winning a division one prize worth $469,462.57 in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.

The mother said she was feeling lucky last week so added a TattsLotto ticket to her shopping list.

“I only checked my ticket after receiving a message from Tatts asking me to contact them,” she said.

“I cried tears of joy when I saw I had matched all six numbers.”

When asked how the family plan to spend their prize money, the woman said they would use it to buy a family home.

“We’ve been renting for years.

“Now we’ll be able to buy a home of our own.

“If there’s money left over we’ll put it in our savings.”

The winning ticket was purchased from Centro Lotto Warrnambool on Hopkins Highway.

Tatts Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said it was fortunate the ticket was registered to a Tatts Card so Tatts could phone the winner to tell them the good news.

“In this case, the winner had forgotten to check her numbers after Saturday’s draw so she’d been carrying the winning ticket around for days, oblivious to the fact it was burning a $469,000 hole in her pocket!”

The Warrnambool family were one of nine division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3207 on Saturday 14 March 2012. There were four division one winners in Victoria, and one each in Queensland, Western Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales and South Australia.

The winning numbers were 18, 25, 43, 13, 8 and 7 with supplementary numbers 17 and 4.
