Randwick Racing Preview 14th April

**TattsBet $125,000 Quadrella Jackpot (SR6, SR7, SR8 & SR9)**

Sapphire Stakes (SR6) –Thousand Guineas winner Atlantic Jewel makes her return to the track in this race almost five months after extending unbeaten run to five with an effortless seven length win in the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes at Flemington. She is clearly the one to beat here but has been priced accordingly. Mid Summer Music has been acquitting herself well in much better races than this and is the main danger to the favourite, while Born To Rock has won first up at each of her last two campaigns and will run well at a big price. Dystopia and Parables are other place chances.
Selections: Atlantic Jewel, Mid Summer Music, Born To Rock, Parables

Australian Derby (SR7) – The Rosehill Guineas looks to be the key form race for this contest, with five of the first six in that race reopposing here. Laser Hawk was the victor a fortnight ago and will again be hard to beat, although Kiwi raiders Ocean Park and Silent Achiever were closing quickly and may be suited over this trip. Polish Knight was a strong winner of the Tulloch Stakes last week and will be in the finish if he gets luck in running, while Ethiopia looks very progressive and could run into the placings.
Selections: Ocean Park, Laser Hawk, Silent Achiever, Polish Knight

Chairmans Quality (SR8) –With 2007 Melbourne Cup winner Efficient in the field, the weights for this race are very compressed and only three of the runners are in the handicap proper. The eight year old has only raced over further than 2040m twice in his career for two Group One wins and has a great chance of recording his first win since 2009 in this contest. Permit has looked highly progressive this campaign and will be hard to beat based on his strong Manion Cup win last time out, while Once Were Wild and Older Than Time will run well for Gai Waterhouse.
Selections: Efficient, Permit, Older Than Time, Once Were Wild

Doncaster Prelude (SR9) – Speediness hasn’t had much luck at either of his last two starts, with both races being run too slowly for him to get into the finish. There should be a genuine tempo in this contest and the Colin Scott trained galloper will be finishing strongly with in form hoop Craig Williams aboard. Shannara and Absolutely are others that will be finishing strongly. Fast Clip and Illo will both race on the pace and will fight doggedly down the straight.
Selections: Speediness, Shannara, Illo, Absolutely
