The West Indies and Australia will go into game one of their two match T20 International series with little to choose between the sides after splitting the ODI series 2-2. Hard hitting allrounder Kieron Pollard was the leading runscorer during the 50 over matches and will again be one of their key players in his favoured form of the game. Johnson Charles has impressed at the top of the order and is likely to open with Dwayne Smith.
David Hussey has a great Twenty20 record and will want to regain some form after struggling somewhat during the ODI’s, while skipper George Bailey will bid to take his record to two wins and one loss from his first three matches. Michael Hussey is likely to play his first Twenty20 international since July 2010.
These sides have met in five Twenty20 International’s with the West Indies winning the first two, but Australia has been successful in the past three. The hosts last match in this format resulted in a three wicket loss to Bangladesh in October, while Australia split a two match series against India one all earlier in the year.
