Following their Commonwealth Bank Series triumph at home, Australia  begins its tour of the Caribbean with a five match One Day International series against the West Indies . The first match takes place in St Vincent on Friday and Shane Watson  will continue to lead the side in the absence of regular skipper Michael Clarke. T20 captain George Bailey  has been named to make his ODI debut in the match.

The West Indies are without superstar opener Chris Gayle, who has again been left out due to an ongoing feud with the West Indian Cricket Board. Dwayne Bravo , who played for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, is in the squad, as is Adelaide Strikers star Keiron Pollard .

The West Indies have been seen in action since going down 4-1 to India in their 50 over series at the end of 2011. Australia has a good recent record against the West Indies in 50 over matches. They have won the past twelve completed matches against them and haven't tasted defeat since October 2006.
