Tuesday 13 March 2012 - A $2 Lucky Lotteries player who purchased their ticket in the Sydney suburb of Cabramatta West won the $9.635 million jackpot in draw 9700 this morning.
As the winner registered their winning ticket with Players Club, NSW Lotteries officials will contact them directly with news of their record-breaking win.
The $9.635 million winning ticket was sold from Cabramatta West Newsagency at 479 Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta West.
Proprietor of Cabramatta West Newsagency, Mr Jimmy Thien, said he is looking forward to seeing how excited his customers will be when they find out about the win.
“I have been waiting for a long time to sell a big prize like this, my customers will be really excited to hear about it and I can’t wait to tell them,” Mr Thien said.
“Best of luck to the winner, life will be very different for them now they have won more than $9 million,” Mr Thien added.
The winner scored the $9,635,000 in the $2 Lucky Lotteries draw 9700, drawn on Tuesday 13 March.
The jackpot reverts to $500,000 and increases by $105,000 each time the jackpot is not won.
The jackpot in the $2 Jackpot Lottery is won when the selected jackpot number has already won a cash prize in the same lottery.
In this morning’s draw, the winner scored a $10 cash prize before the winning number was selected for the $9.635 million jackpot prize.
