Perth Glory will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium on Thursday night. Perth came up against a rampant Brisbane Roar last weekend and went down 3-0, but had won six of their previous eight matches leading up to that result. As a result of that win, they find themselves in fourth on the competition ladder and should be playing in the finals, which begin at the end of March.
After being touted as competition darkhorses at the start of the season, Adelaide have been a real disappointment. They have won just one of their past eight fixtures and slumped to a 1-0 defeat against the Jets in Newcastle in the last round. The Reds have won just five of their twenty-three matches this season and only embattled Gold Coast United sit below them on the table.
Glory has had the wood on Adelaide this season, winning both of the meetings between the sides. On the opening weekend of the campaign, Perth scored a 1-0 win, before hammering the Reds 3-0 when they met at this ground on January 29.
