Westmeadows family celebrates $1.09 million TattsLotto win

Monday 20 February, 2012 - A Westmeadows family has reason to celebrate this week, after winning $1,090,089.19 in Saturday night’s TattsLotto draw.

The father explained that he discovered the win late yesterday when he checked the draw results online.

“I worked through my 50 game QuickPick, crossing off the numbers on my ticket that matched the numbers on my computer screen,” he said.

“When I crossed off the sixth number in game 40 I couldn’t quite believe it!

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto for around 20 years, always hoping that one day I would win division one.

“But when it happens it feels quite surreal.”

When asked how the family plans to use their prize money, the father said he and his wife would clear some of their debt and set up investments to secure themselves a comfortable financial future.

“My wife and I are in our forties, so we really need to make sure we’re putting things in place now to secure ourselves a comfortable retirement,” he said.

“Winning division one in TattsLotto is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“We plan to use this money wisely.”

The winning 50 game QuickPick was purchased from Gladstone Park Lotto in the Gladstone Park Shopping Centre.

There were four division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3191 on Saturday 18 February 2012.

There were two division one winners in Victoria, one in Queensland and one in New South Wales.

The winning numbers were 13, 38, 37, 32, 3 and 14. The supplementary numbers were 29 and 17.
