Sunday NAB Cup Matches

Western Australia’s two AFL teams Fremantle and West Coast will battle for bragging rights when they meet in Round one of the NAB Cup on Sunday night. West Coast experienced some success in last year’s competition progressing to the semi-finals only to be knocked out by eventual winners Collingwood.

Both teams have been impacted heavily by injuries with West Coast missing five key players and will look to fringe players Koby Stevens, Brad Sheppard and young Eagles hopefuls who will battle for selection and game time for the upcoming AFL season. Fremantle have announced that Matthew Pavlich will play forward and are expecting a strong performance from one of their go-to players.

Both teams will feature earlier in the evening when West Coast takes on Essendon in the first game followed by Essendon and Fremantle before the local derby which kicks off at 8.55pm.
