Australia will look to continue their domination of India when the sides meet at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday. The hosts opened their Commonwealth Bank Series campaign with a 65 run win against the world champions in a rain affected match at the MCG last Sunday. Victorians Matthew Wade and David Hussey starred with the bat during that match, but Hussey could make way for Peter Forrest, who is set to make his debut during the series.
India bounced back from their defeat to Australia in the opening game of the series with a tense four wicket win against Sri Lanka at the WACA. They appeared to be cruising at 2/122 in pursuit of a modest target of 234, but lost wickets consistently before Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin combined for an unbroken stand of 53 to see their side home. Having stated their intention to rotate their opening partnership throughout the 50 over matches, Gautam Gambhir is likely to return to the team in place of Sachin Tendulkar.
