Thursday 27 December, 2012 - It was a Boxing Day bonanza for two NSW Lotteries players who each won a first division prize of $666,666.67 in Wednesday Lotto overnight!
One of the prizes was won with an entry purchased from Swansea Newsagency and will be enjoyed by a retired Swansea couple.
“I don’t believe it,” the winning woman said when contacted by NSW Lotteries with the news today.
“We’ll go on a nice holiday with this money I think.
“I’ll have to tell my husband we won when he gets down off the ladder – I daren’t tell him while he’s up there!” she laughed.
The other division one winning prize in NSW went to a local man who purchased his ticket from West Gosford Newsagency.
“What I call this is divine intervention,” the winning man said.
“It was my 70th birthday yesterday, on Boxing Day, and what do you know – I won the lotto!
“It was a bolt out of the blue.
“I’ll upgrade my car with this money; it’s more than 20-years-old. I’m also looking forward to helping my family.”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Zoe Knobel said that there will be many more happy winners before New Year with Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw just around the corner on 29 December.
“Buy an entry today for your chance to share in $30 million this Saturday,” Ms Knobel said.
There were three winning entries in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw, with two in New South Wales and one in Victoria. The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3203, were 31, 16, 7, 39, 43 and 19 with the supplementary numbers 18 and 20.
