Two old friends to share in TattsLotto prize for Christmas!

Monday 24 December, 2012 - A pair of old friends with a tradition of buying one another TattsLotto tickets have claimed a first division prize of $387,971.00!

A man in his 80s and his friend in her 90s won the prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, just in the nick of time for Christmas.

The winning man said he was very pleased when he spoke with a Tatts official this afternoon.

“Both of us are now retired so this money will help us a great deal,” he said.

“We’re not knockabout mates you know, just two old friends.

“Long before we lost our partners, we would all buy a lotto ticket together each week. For the last 38 years we’ve bought lotto tickets for one another for Christmas presents.

“I gifted this ticket to my friend for Christmas and we’ll share the prize money.

“There’s not too much we need, but we can live a bit better now,” the winner said happily.

The winning QuickPick ticket was purchased from Get The News Williamstown, Shop 8 on the corner of Kororoit Creek Road and Rifle Range Drive in Williamstown.

Throughout Australia, there were 11 winners who claimed a $387,971.00 first division share of the estimated $4 million TattsLotto division one prize pool. There were four winning tickets purchased in Victoria, three in New South Wales, two in Western Australia and one each in South Australia and Queensland.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3279 on 22 December 2012 were 1, 4, 29, 17, 10 and 45 with the supplementary numbers 5 and 38.

Tatts Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said there will be many more happy winners before New Year.

“TattsLotto’s $30 Million Megadraw is just days away on 29 December,” Ms Knobel said.

“Buy an entry today for your chance to share in $30 million, or perhaps purchase a ticket as a last minute Christmas gift for friends, family or work colleagues.

“Like these friends, you just might win!”
