Friday 21 December 2012 - Three Saturday Lotto entries in NSW won their owners a first division prize of $387,971.00 in Saturday’s draw!
The winning tickets were purchased from NSW Lotteries outlets in Albury, Bass Hill and Gorokan.
A holder of a winning ticket purchased from Gorokan Newsagency in Gorokan was in fits of laughter when they heard the news from NSW Lotteries this morning.
NSW Lotteries Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said the winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous but was overwhelmed with the news.
“The winner has been playing Lotto for many years and their response to the news that they’d won a first division prize was shock initially, then pure joy,” Ms Knobel said.
“The winner couldn’t help but laugh, they were so happy!”
The other first division winning entries were purchased from Westend Plaza Lotto in Albury, and Bass Hill Plaza News in Bass Hill. Both prizes remain unclaimed so far.
“Both these winning tickets are unregistered so NSW Lotteries encourages Lotto players who purchased unregistered entries in Saturday’s draw from Westend Plaza Lotto and Bass Hill Plaza News to check their tickets and contact NSW Lotteries if they believe they may be holding a first division winning entry,” Ms Knobel said.
Throughout Australia, there were 11 winners who claimed a $387,971.00 first division share of the estimated $4 million Saturday Lotto division one prize pool. There were four winning tickets purchased in Victoria, three in New South Wales, two in Western Australia and one each in South Australia and Queensland.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3279 on 22 December 2012 were 1, 4, 29, 17, 10 and 45 with the supplementary numbers 5 and 38.
Ms Knobel said there will be many more happy winners before New Year.
“Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw is just days away on 29 December,” Ms Knobel said.
“Buy an entry today for your chance to share in $30 million, or purchase a ticket as a last minute Christmas gift for friends, family or work colleagues!”
