What would YOU do with a share of $30 million? Tatts

Tuesday 18 December, 2012 - How would you celebrate a major lotto win just in time for the New Year? Would you throw a party for friends and family? Buy a brand new car? Do backstroke in a swimming pool filled with cash?

That last one is unlikely, but the options are endless!

One of the biggest Saturday TattsLotto events of the year, the $30 million Megadraw, will take place on Saturday 29 December. Imagine unwrapping all your dreams with a share in a huge division one prize like some other fortunate Tatts players.

Victoria’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot

In the 12-months to 1 December 2012, Victorian players scored 173 division one prizes across all lotto products from Tatts, equating to more than $284 million in division one prize money. The latest statistics released by Tatts reveal that there was a tie for the coveted title of ‘Victoria’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot’, with Melbourne and Werribee both selling more division one winning tickets than any other area in the State. Melbourne and Werribee each sold four (4) division one winning tickets across all lotto games.

Tasmania’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot

Tasmanian players scored eight (8) division one prizes across all lotto products from Tatts, equating to more than $8.7 million in division one prize money. Tatts can reveal that ‘Tasmania’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot’ is Hobart, having sold more division one winning tickets than any other area in the State. There were two (2) division one winning entries purchased in Hobart, with prizes totalling $1,442,844.13.

Northern Territory’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot

Northern Territory players scored 11 division one prizes across all lotto products from Tatts, equating to more than $13.3 million in division one prize money. ‘Northern Territory’s 2012 Lotto Hotspot’ goes to Darwin. Three (3) division one winning tickets were sold in Darwin, followed in second place by Casuarina, with two (2) division one wins.

Tatts spokesperson Elissa Lewis said that although these Hotspots have sold several division one winning tickets this year, it does not mean that a ticket purchased in any of those areas has more chance of winning than any other ticket.

“People often ask where the most winning tickets have been sold and visit the area to buy a ticket in the hope of purchasing a winner,” Ms Lewis said.

“When it comes down to it, every number has an equal chance of being drawn, no matter where you buy your ticket – but you have to be in it to win it!” Ms Lewis added.

This year 32 Australians began 2012 as winners, each scoring $968,750 in the 2011 December Megadraw.

A ticket in TattsLotto’s $30 million Megadraw on December 29 is the perfect Christmas gift for friends, family or work colleagues - a gift that could truly keep on giving!

Don’t forget to register your Megadraw ticket to your Tatts Card to ensure Tatts can contact you should you be one of the lucky division one winners.
