Chirnside Park TattsLotto prize finally claimed after a full month!

Monday 17 December, 2012 - A TattsLotto prize worth more than $320,000 purchased in Chirnside Park has finally been claimed by a local family!

The winners took exactly one month to come forward after the prize was won in TattsLotto draw 3269 on 17 November.

When the winner finally checked their ticket at a Tatts outlet this afternoon, they were stunned.

“I don't check my TattsLotto tickets regularly because you never assume you've actually won a big prize!” the winning mother exclaimed with excitement.

“I've had this ticket tucked away in my wallet for a month and every time I saw it I thought, 'I must go and check that some time'. I'm glad I finally did!”

The winners have a few plans for how to spend their first division prize totalling $324,696.90.

“We'll do what every Australian dreams of – we'll pay off the mortgage. I just found out we won moments ago and haven't spoken to my husband yet, but this will make him very happy.

“Then we'll use some of the money for an overseas holiday.”

Tatts Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said the winner was not able to be contacted as their entry was not registered to a Tatts Card.

“As this winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, we were unable to contact the winner in order for them to claim their great prize,” Ms Knobel said.

“It's always a good idea to register your Tatts purchases so you don't leave a winning ticket sitting in your wallet like these winners with no idea they've won.

“When you register your entries, you'll also have the peace of mind that comes with knowing you'll never miss out on a lotto prize.”

The winning QuickPick entry worth $324,696.90 was purchased from Chirnside Lotto, Shop 643 at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre.

There were 13 winning entries across the country in TattsLotto draw 3269 on 17 November 2012. The winning numbers were 8, 33, 20, 5, 11 and 29 with the supplementary numbers 28 and 38.
