“I checked the numbers that many times I can’t remember, and then I called the NSW Lotteries results number and listened to the recorded message, that’s when found out that I had won $1.36 million,” the winner said.

“I have been playing Lotto since it began and I always buy my tickets from the same newsagent. I have regular numbers that I play all the time but I actually won on a QuickPick ticket.”

The winner is in no doubt about what his first purchase as a Lotto millionaire will be.

“Just last week I said that I’m going to win Lotto and buy a Mercedes. I’ve been saying that for years and years,” the winner laughed.
